Not only do we appreciate the importance of the occasion, we understand how live music can enhance both the ceremony itself and the celebrations that follow.
First, decide when you’d like Apollo Strings to play. For example, live accompaniment for the processional can be magical, along with a musical interlude whilst the registers are signed.
Or you may prefer to save the performance for the reception or wedding breakfast? Whatever you decide is fine with us – we’re even happy to move venues so that we can support your celebration during both the ceremony and the party afterwards.
Next, think about the size of ensemble that would suit your occasion best. A duo or solo musician will obviously fit better into a small venue and can create a wonderfully intimate atmosphere. A trio or quartet, however, will create more volume, has a slightly more flexible repertoire, and can be more appropriate for larger venues.
Finally, give some thought to the kind of pieces you’d like us to play. There are examples of our repertoire on this site, but if you can’t find what you’re looking for, just ask. Apollo members are as comfortable playing pop standards as they are classical.

The Dorchester
The Dorchester is one of London’s most elegant addresses for weddings and with ten stunning event spaces to choose between it is a fabulous choice for a luxurious wedding day. Apollo Strings have previously enjoyed performing at The Dorchester for both intimate and large scale events.
30 Pavillion Road
Apollo Strings have performed for ceremonies, receptions and breakfasts in The Stone Hall, The Library and The Dining Room at 30 Pavillion Road and always enjoy playing in the characterful and charming surroundings.
Botleys Mansion
Apollo Strings have performed for ceremonies in The Green Room and in The glass-roofed Atrium and never tire of performing at this majestic venue.
Gaynes Park
Gaynes Park is set on a private family estate and is a stunning contemporary place to get married in Essex. Apollo Strings have performed for many ceremonies in the beautiful orangery and always enjoy watching the bride emerge through the magical garden.
Hever Castle
As official suppliers to stunning Hever Castle we’ve been lucky enough to perform at this venue countless times. Whether your wedding is in the Astor Wing or by the Italian Lake we can entertain during your ceremony, reception and breakfast and you wont have to worry about a thing!
Hedsor House
As official suppliers to Hedsor House Apollo Strings have enjoyed performing at this beautiful venues many times. We are usually located on the balcony in the Centre Hall for the ceremony and can then relocate to the stunning Sunken Garden to perform in the shade for the drinks reception.
Gosfield Hall
Formerly a Royal residence, the Queen Charlotte’s Oak panelled gallery at Gosfield Hall is perfect for wedding ceremonies and the newly licensed carriageway is a gorgeous location for outdoor ceremonies on sunny days.
The Marquis of Buckingham’s former ballroom provides an exquisite setting for the wedding reception meal and there are also several grand and ornate reception rooms to enjoy.
